Flyer Initialization Error 8

Problem: Flyer Initialization fails with Error 8, failure to load DSP.bin.

1) New Flyer boards (shipped after 2-97) with Flyer Initialization Error 8, failure of the DSP.bin load: the problem is most likely that the board is a hybrid 2C/1C board, and is using the first 2C install set. Download the newest version of the install floppy, redo the installation of the software, and try again.

2) Corrupt Aud.bin or DSP.bin file. Re-install the files from the original software.

3) Audio DMA chip, DSP chip, or related component has failed. RMA required.
