Split Audio Edits Cause Sequencing Failures
![]()
Product: Flyer Platforms: 2000 3000 3000T 4000 4000T Problem: Sequence with split audio does not play
Split audio error message. 4.1B - If you design a project that uses too many stereo pairs of audio the Flyer will display an incorrect error message. The message reads -
Flyer clip failed to play properly
1. Move clip to a faster drive
2. Record clip at a lower quality.
What it should say is that you have gone over the 4 stereo pair audio limit.
Note: If you create a split audio effect you have taken up one of the stereo pairs available from the audio drive.
Example: A project with 1 audio-only crouton, 2 audio/video clips, and a split audio edit is done with the two A/V clips. The audio from the split edit will be copied to the audio drive, and both the audio crouton and the split audio temp file will play from there. That makes two stereo pairs playing from the audio drive. Any additional audio croutons will overrun the audio channels available from the drive.
