Product: Flyer Platforms: 2000 3000 3000T 4000 4000T Clean drive after 2 hours use of new tapes and 10 hours use of used tapes.
Keep 12" away from monitors, power supplies, and ethernet hubs due to RFI and EMI.
Use a high quality SCSI cable and be sure of proper termination.
Keep cordless and cellular phones 10' away from the drive.
Be sure the room is dust free and smoke free. Unlike hard drives, which are sealed, tape drives have the media, the drive read/write heads, and the mechanism exposed. Dust and smoke particles cause faster tape head wear, and may scratch the heads.
